Dietary Needs!!
By admin | July 10, 2008
I think it’s funny how the simple fact of having four kids home for the summer can completely derail my health kick! I know, I’m weak! Right now I’m suffering from food poisoning, and after not eating in nearly 24 hours…I should see some pounds melt away…that should be enough incentive to get back on track! Wish me luck!

An Update!!
By admin | June 2, 2008
I took the weekend off! I know, you aren’t supposed to do that, but the pills that I take for all of this have caffeine in them, and if I take them after noon I don’t sleep at all at night. This weekend I didn’t get up in time to take the first round, which would have pushed the second round too late in the afternoon, so I skipped them. So I can’t comment on the weight-loss, but I will say, my skin is looking better. The redness of the bumps is gone, and even many of the bumps have gone down. I do have one particularly painful headless zit to the side of my nose, but other than that, the others seem to have diminished greatly! I’m so happy about that, and hopeful that it will continue to get better. I would rather be fat with good skin, than skinny with bad! Maybe I’m weird in that!!

The Flesh Was Weak!!
By admin | May 29, 2008
After yesterday’s TOAST on the treadmill, I got up a bit slower and quite a bit sorer today than yesterday. But I pushed that all aside and headed downstairs. Switched the laundry from yesterday and started the new batch. Grayson walked on the treadmill yesterday and took my shelf down, so I had to reassemble it, and then I hit it!
At about 10 minutes in I knew I was in trouble. There was no way I was going to be making it the full hour like yesterday, and honestly…the dryer wouldn’t be finished by the time the body gave out. I started dropping my Entrecards and got through my “must do” list and didn’t start the next one. I was fighting myself to stay on, and made the goal that I would at least make it to the halfway point of yesterday’s workout. With about 3/10ths of a mile to go it took everything I had to not step off. Great exercise in self mastery if you ask me!
But I made it to the halfway point…Here are my stats for the day:
Weight: *** (3 lbs lighter than yesterday (but that won’t last))
I walked for: 30.5 Minutes
I Burned: 208 Calories
Distance Covered: 1.5 Miles
Entrecards Dropped: 52
Batches of Laundry: 1
So half as good as yesterday, but if I can do a full walk a couple of times a week, and a mini walk all the other days, I should still be a whole lot better off than the immovable blob that I’ve been for 10+ years, right?
On the other note…my face seems to be a bit better. Still a ton of bumps, but the redness seems to have diminished greatly! I’m very hopeful!

My Poor Face!!
By admin | May 28, 2008
I’ve been talking for awhile about how bad my skin is. I mean, I’m 37 years old and I’m fitting zits worse than when I was a teenager. Don’t believe me?? Here’s some proof!!
Ha–you thought you’d get a whole picture of my pathetic face didn’t ‘cha? Well, not yet you won’t! But yes–it’s terrible skin! This is the main reason I’m trying the Orovo. Hollywood is rushing for the stuff for the clear skin! I can only hope…nothing else has worked! My next possible step would be birth control, but I’ve never been on the pill and would worry too much about the moody side effects that so many get. I’m going to take a photo a day of my skin to see if it really is improving with the pills—let’s hope!!

I’ve Begun!!
By admin | May 28, 2008
Today I started my goal of Bloggin’ and Treadin’! It was pretty good! I stated before that I purchased a bottle of Orovo to help jump start the body, and get into the ‘losin’ mode–so I’m hoping for weight-loss, clear skin and better fitness. Not too much to expect from a little bottle…right?
Here are my stats for today…
Weight: *** (nope, you don’t get to see that one!!)
I walked for: 66.30 Minutes
I burned: 412 Calories
Distance Covered: 3 miles
Entrecards Dropped: 350
Batches Of Laundry: 1 1/2
Wow, I am the QUEEN of multi-tasking! Actually, I started the washer then started walking. When I was finished, I moved the washer load to the dryer, and started a new batch. Tomorrow I will move the washer to the dryer–start a new batch in the washer and walk my hour and then move it to the dryer and begin a new load in the washer-and so on, and so on!!
Hopefully with all of this multi-tasking, all of the beasts in my life will slowly melt away!!

The Set Up!!
By admin | May 28, 2008

A while back I had this great thought about walking on my treadmill and blogging at the same time. I have to say, with most things in my life–the intention is good–but “Not Gonna Happen”. I had it rigged up in my head and just needed to get downstairs to see how it would work, but never did it. Until I was reading on Chubby Mommy, and saw that Kate was doing the same thing I had been planning. But her set up looked far more logical than mine!
So we headed to Home Depot last night where I purchased a shelf, 2 C-clamps and velcro. Once I came home, I rigged up my fabulous contraption and tried it out…it worked! While I was rigging it up, I realized that the way I had thought about it in my head would never have worked…so I owe a huge debt of gratitude to VK…because it never would have happened without her post! I did add a strip of velcro to the bottom of my laptop and one to the shelf so that there is no movement at all.
Today is my maiden voyage…so stay tuned!!

I Just Bought OROVO!!
By admin | May 28, 2008
I had written previously on another blog about Orovo, and it sounded so promising that I actually got online to purchase it. It came yesterday, but it was a little late in the day to start something new–so excited as I was to get started, I waited until today. The hard part about this new pill is that you have to drink it with a lot of water, and that early in the morning, that much water is hard to get down!
There are a couple of reasons why I was interested in trying this pill. First off, I would be happy to lose a pound a day! Oh yes, not a problem at all, but what I’m most hoping for is the promise that it clears up your skin. I’ve been living with breakouts my whole adult life, and I’m ready for it to be gone!!
I’m going to be taking daily pictures of the skin on my face to see if it improves with the usage or not, and I will keep you up to date on the weight-loss progress too. Just in case anyone else would like to see how it works before they buy it!!

Finding Healthy Beauty!!
By admin | May 24, 2008
I was talking with my mom earlier today. She has been seeing a naturalist and is finding some amazing relief from her Fibromyalgia. One thing that this woman is asking for my mom to do is to find natural/organic products instead of some of the processed items she uses. This is for things that come in contact with her skin. So she’s been online looking for organic make up, shampoo, soaps, creams–anything to get away from the ‘grocery’ type products that she’s been using.
Because of this, I will be exploring the world of organics. There are some shops where you can find organic items at the same price (or slightly higher) than you would pay for the normal items at the store. As we try some of these products for ourselves, we’ll pass on what we find as well as the links to the sites to get the best deals. So if you are suffering through the pain of Fibromyalgia or if your just looking for a healthier way to look great…stay tuned, we’re going to add those topics to the site as well!

7 Causes Of Fatigue!!
By admin | May 3, 2008
As a major sufferer of fatigue—I found this article somewhat same/same, but also there were a couple of different points that I hadn’t thought of before.
1-Anemia
2-Underactive Thyroid
3-Undiagnosed Urinary Tract Infection
4-Caffeine Overload
5-Food Allergies
6-Sleep Apnea
7-Undiagnosed Heart Disease
Now I don’t think I suffer from numbers 3, 5, 6 or 7. But I absolutely have number 2 everyday of my life, and numbers 1 and 4 at different times during the week/month! I’m really going to have to be really good about taking my thyroid pills as well as cutting back on my caffeine intake. I do have Iron pills, I’ll have to see if those help out at all either!
If you suffer from fatigue and want to read more of the article that these points were taken from, click on the link up at the top of the post and it will take you to it.
